It seems like the show really never ends, and every active band or solo artist is chasing a good gig at the famous hotels. But not all the stars are coming to Vegas to perform. Some of them were actually born here. Those artists started in garages and high school dancing halls all over Nevada. But, do you know which famous bands began their careers in Sin City?

Well, someone would say that such a vibrant and vigilant place as Vegas didn’t give many popular musicians. Still, we, who remember the energy from the first Killers or Panic! at the Disco shows, we know that a lot of good music has been launched from Nevada desert right into the world.

  • Killers

One of the best punk-rock/new wave bands comes from the hot sand of Nevada, more precisely from Vegas.

The leading singer, Brandon Flowers, founded the band in 2001 and, since then, also recorded several solo albums himself. To date, the Killers is the most famous music product from Las Vegas, with over 18 million sold albums.

  • Imagine Dragons

We all know their biggest hit, “Radioactive,” but only a few know that Dan Reynolds, the frontman, also comes from Sin City. 

The band started making their first steps here back in 2008 and since then have enjoyed worldwide success.

  • Panic!at the Disco

The band had experienced quite a boom since its beginning in 2004. Panic is a high school band founded by best friends, Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, and Brent Wilson in Las Vegas.

They’ve recorded five studio albums and sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide. In 2015, the band broke up, and officially, Brandon remained the only member of the group.

  • Ne-Yo

Shaffer Chimere Smith moved to Vegas when he was a kid, developing his immense talent for music during his high school days. At the Art Academy, he became a member of the R&B band named Envy and later decided to pursue a solo career under the name Ne-Yo.

The famous rapper is the most successful musician who comes from Las Vegas, with millions of sold copies and who participated in creating many R&B hits.

  • Slaughter

The band came into focus with the popularity of heavy metal music in the late 1990s.  Their first album, named Stick It to Ya, was the most successful project that made this metal band from Vegas famous across the US.

Finally, we can freely say that this is a city that has turned many performers into the everlasting stars. Perhaps Elvis wasn’t born here, but Las Vegas will always be the King’s place.
